Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like for all of my students to read on grade level. I am asking for a variety of books. I would like for my students to read these books while practicing their reading skills and strategies that they have learned. My students reading above grade level and on grade level are going to pick up these novels and enjoy them as much as their bilingual partners so it will be a win-win for both of them. I will guide my students reading below grade level through these books with the help of their reading partners. I am hoping they will connect with the main character in the books and see how fun reading can be.

By exposing all of my students to a variety of reading material, I hope that all my students will see reading as something more than an assignment.

I hope that they view reading as an enjoyable past time. Your donation will help my current students as well as my future students.
