We are a free and reduced lunch school, but that does not stop the students from coming to school with smiles on their faces. My students come from different backgrounds, but in my classroom, we are one family.
The students in my classroom make me want to come to work each day.
They remind me why I became a teacher and inspire me each day. They remind me that teaching in the classroom is where I belong. Working with them each day reaffirms my choice to become a teacher.
My Project
Students have been learning reading skills and strategies and need some new ways to practice and apply these skills. Reading games are a fun way to practice what they have already learned and these would benefit the students so much.
Students would be able to use these reading games during center time.
They would be learning with and from each other; what a great way to get students excited about reading!
Some of the games could also be used to help me reteach skills in small group to students who need a little more support. Having these reading games would be such a great benefit to our classroom!
