Help me give my students book storage furniture for an inviting library oasis. A Flex-Space Classroom Storage Bench to read on and to store their library books in. Bookshelves to store exciting literature.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a primary teacher, the students are just beginning their educational journey with many years ahead of them. They are excited and eager to learn how to read. I am a strong believer that "Today's Readers make Tomorrow's Leaders." My responsibility as their first teacher is to help in making this a reality.
Although my students are faced with many challenges at home, they come to school eager, happy, and filled with curiosity to learn to read.
Reading is their key to success.
My Project
Library book storage and seating will allow my students to have a space where they will be able to have access to their favorite books in a comfortable and inviting space. When students feel comfortable, they are more engaged in reading.
Having a beautiful, organized, and comfortable space to read will allow my students to be more engaged and become better readers.
Our school district has provided culturally relevant library books, but we are in need of displays for easy access for the students. These displays and seating will be used to display all types of literature for my student's reading enjoyment.
