Help me give my students the "I Survived" book series set, and two other book series sets, so they can build their vocabulary and become fluent readers.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students sometimes struggle with reading text at grade level. My history textbooks are great, and they contain important information, but most of my students do not consider them fun to read.
Reading for fun is a wonderful way to help students build vocabulary and improve reading fluency.
Studies have proven that reading, for fun, for 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week, will do wonders for a young learner. They will have a bigger, and better, vocabulary. They will become fluent readers, and they will do better in school.
