This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These iPads will be used to increase engagement and foster more interaction with reading.

My students are bravely learning the English language and are in a constant battle with time.

COVID-19 has added further delays in their learning and I believe the use of iPads for reading in our classroom will entice them to read more.

I want to use class time in an efficient way that will excite my students to get started with their reading right away. Students will be able to mark text, engage in reading games, record themselves reading, and earn special reading screen time on the iPads. I believe the iPads will further help create a culture of literacy and help build a love for reading.
