My Students
I have the ability to work with students in a diverse, multi-cultural school, where our students receive free lunch and may have economic challenges that prohibit the purchase of supplies they may need to have to learn and grow. Our school system is so amazing, and each student walks into our building daily feeling safe, entering a positive environment, and being motivated to conquer what obstacles may come their way for the day. We strive to teach our students they can accomplish anything they set their minds to regardless of what their circumstances outside of school may be.
My Project
I’d love the opportunity to provide new reading material for my students. To have fresh new books in the upcoming school year allows the students to read books that can be more challenging, and there’s nothing like a fresh new book. I have picked several books I felt were appropriate, and fun to read. Some are classics, and some are outstanding in helping with learning about diversity. I would love to engage my students in a culture of the love of reading.
