We are like a mini United Nations! There are 13 languages spoken in our building, with students all living, working and playing together.
Every culture is embraced as a way to learn more about the world around us.
We are always making connections to the experiences of our students. Whether it be riding in an airplane for the first time, moving to a different state or country, festivals and holidays, we are always learning from each other.
We truly believe that we are a unique family and our school is the best place for us to learn!
My Project
Guided reading is a time where students look forward to sitting with a few classmates and the teacher to practice the reading skill or strategy focus of the week. Students come to the guided reading table to practice skills 2-3 times a week for 15-20 minutes. This is a small amount of time but it gives me the biggest rewards!
With this Reading A-Z subscription, I will be able to tailor the reading material to the students' reading level and interest.
This is huge because interest is 90% of the battle in teaching students to read. When I am able to tailor the books to their interests, they can't wait to come back and dive into more books.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
