This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the past 3 years, my students have had a lot of learning losses due to COVID and all the challenges that it brought to education. Many of the students come from low-income homes and many do not have reading resources so school time is very important for the students. These activities will allow my students to focus on basic phonics skills to help boost their reading skills and build their confidence in reading independently. A lot of my students need hands-on and engaging activities that will excite them about becoming better readers.
