My Project
My students love reading picture books to help focus on key reading skills. This year we would love to participate in a Mock Caldecott Award project. For this project, my students will analyze high quality picture books and persuade the class to vote for their choice.
It is my hope to ignite a passion for reading in my students through the use of high quality literature. I want them to become inspired to read a variety of books and transcend to different worlds through reading. This project will be an excellent way to combine reading and writing.
