My Students
What I love about my students is that they love to learn and grow, and they are very bright learners. They are very helpful and sweet too. They have grown from their daily reading habits realizing their potential to be imaginative and creative. One particular student was able to place herself in the text read, then role playing the characters. Thus, showing a greater ability to comprehend what was read. This was an incredible and fun way of seeing her personal growth in reading.
My Project
I need two wobble cushions for new students. These will help my readers by sitting in fun chairs while reading and writing.
On occasion, my students have the discomfort of hungry tummies during their tutor sessions which causes distractions in class.
Their tutor time is spent learning about phonics and strategies for becoming better and more fluent readers. Providing them a snack during reading when needed will help them not be distracted by hunger pains. The more focused they are on reading the better readers they will be.
I know my readers will be very grateful for the snacks they receive through Donors Choose.
