Hello! I am a second year educator teaching in Cleveland Ohio. I believe that the current rate of reading proficiency across Ohio is becoming a priority. I am aiming to set my students up for success in their reading abilities. To accomplish this, the students need the resources to succeed.
Our students deserve more, the resources asked for, tablets, dry erase markers and wobble stools, will provide this to the students.
The students have access to online reading enrichment, yet without a device there is no means to access. With these tools the students will be able to engross in a reading program designed for them specifically to provide the additional support all students need. This will work to take their reading proficiency scores and aim to double their goal.
The students in my classroom come from low-economic backgrounds and diverse backgrounds. These students are deserving of a quality education in which I aim to provide. Let's help these second grade students beat the odds and be the rise of reading proficiency. Thank you for your time and consideration. This would truly be a blessing to not only myself but to the lives of many students who deserve the basic resources for a proper education.
