Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Ever since students came back to schools form COVID, we have seen a drastic decline in reading skills and desire to read anything that is not on a screen. Before Christmas break, I started implementing the 6 Minute Solution to help my students with their reading fluency. I was already starting to see some improvement. I would like to provide my students with all the tools they need to be fully engaged in their reading and have the desire to grab a book and read!
It's time to close the reading gaps, and I will do whatever it takes to help my kids do so.
Please help me make our library organized with these bins, and our partner reading time fun with these choice of the reading tools the kids will have (1 minute timers, googly eyes to point as they read, color strips to help each line stand out for my dyslexia readers, whisper phones for the ones that aren't confident in their reading yet, etc).
