My Students

I am a second year 4th grade teacher at an amazing school in Georgia. I have dreamed of becoming a teacher since I was a little girl and finally have the opportunity to have my own classroom. Each day, I teach sixty children English and social studies. We get to explore the mysteries of books and many characters, United States history and so much more.

As a teacher at a Title I school, my students and I consistently struggle to find even the most basic school supplies.

Over 75% of the student body receives free or reduced-price lunch. However, my classroom will be an environment where my students do not have to worry about their socioeconomic status or lack of personal school supplies. Each project on my page is designed to meet a range of my students' needs from class sets of books to clothing and incentives. It is support from donors like you that will help make my dream a reality and change the lives of my students.

My Project

When I started teaching I got a lot of hand-me-downs from my mom who was also a school teacher. These things helped me get a start on what is now a very welcoming and amazing classroom that I get complements on all the time. It however has come time to replace one of the bookshelves as it has broken.

Help me give my students back a deserved reading area that does not have broken shelves or a bookshelf that could fall over on them.

With this I want to give my reading corner another lamp so when I turn the lights off to give them a calming atmosphere to work in or read in they have some calm and soft lighting that still allows them to see.
