it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For our current reading corner, I'd like to add a couple of bean bag chairs, a lamp, and some floor pillows, as well as warmer lighting for the room.
Desks and fluorescent lighting don't always promote learning the way softer lighting and comfortable seating does.
When my students are working independently or have reading time, I like to try and let them get comfortable, settle in, and focus in a way that works for them, and I believe I've seen a lot of great things because of it. Updating this reading corner with better seating and a little light will go a long way.
