Reading Corner Cushions & Yoga Bolsters

My students need these bolsters for lounging in the reading corner, and for when we practice yoga. In yoga, some students are working on flexibility and need the soft support for their knees, necks, & back.

My Students

My kids are amazing and thirsty for experience and knowledge. At this point, most of them are 8 years old...with just a couple who are still 7. This year my students are amazing at math, and they love the history that I infuse into our geography curriculum. These kids have really gotten interested in culture and diversity and they love learning about different people, places, food, and cultures around the world...especially with my background in yoga and meditation. They are excited to come every day, and they go out of their way to bring in items and information that they have found on their own outside of school. We are having an awesome year because they are so engaged and excited about learning.

My Project

My current reading corner is not as comfortable as I would like. In the past I have had bean bags, or mini loungers...but they wear out and I never have enough. I also teach yoga to students in different grade levels throughout the school, so I am hoping I can kills two birds with one stone and get these yoga bolsters for teaching yoga, and then store them in my reading corner to make the atmosphere more loungy and inviting. The PE specialist in our school also teaches a yoga unit, and the bolsters will be used by her as well.
