Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd and 3rd grade students face many challenges before entering my classroom. Despite the fact that my students are drastically behind the grade level norms of their peers in other towns, we have a culture of achievement, and focus on the positive outcomes that happen every day.

Many of these children do not have basic technology access at home to participate in online learning.

They face well beyond what most of us could imagine, yet my students do their best to learn. They are hungry for knowledge and skills. I am honored to be one of the many educators called to help them achieve the goals they set for themselves.

My Project

No pandemic will stop me from helping my students learn the skills they need to be successful in life. My kiddos were learning how to read and develop sentence before school closures. In the resource room, My students are on different ability levels. It is important that I am able to meet the needs of each student.

Now my living room is my classroom, so it is very important that we have the resources to continue learning these concepts and skills they need to succeed in the next school year.

My students would benefit from the reading comprehension activities because we can focus on the skills that were being developed before we started distance learning. The Teacher Pay Teacher gift card would allow me to purchase additional materials that would reach each students ability level and would provide additional practice for my students.
