I love my students perseverence in light of their learning disabilities. What makes my students special is their excitement for learning. They come to school everyday with the mindset of wanting to improve their very low reading skills and other necessary skills they need to be successful.
Reading for my special education students is done in small groups and in a quiet setting so there are no distractions.
They have come a long way with decoding familiar and unfamiliar words but the decoding of words has really affected their comprehension.
With these comprehension kits, my students will benefit from being able to work in small groups, independently or with me depending on their skill level!
