My Students

My kids love to read and love to play games. So why not combine the two!

Our school is a in a small farming community in the Southwest corner of Michigan.

This year I am blessed with a great group of 26 third graders! I have a wide variety of learners in my classroom but each and every morning my students walk into my classroom eager to learn.

My Project

The reading comprehension games that I am requesting will provide fun and exciting ways for my students to work on their reading comprehension. The students will learn reading skills such as main idea and details, fact and opinion, context clues, inferencing, and many more!

I currently have one set of these games that were passed down to me from a retired teacher and the kids love them even though they are the 1989 version.

Over these last 23 years the games have been taped together more that once and several pieces have gone missing. It would be great for the kids to have something NEW just for them. These games will really get the kids excited about learning and reading for meaning which is a skill they will use for the rest of their lives.
