Help me give my students a quiet comfortable place to read and focus by using the floor cushions students can work in book clubs. Others need assistance in reading and the headphones allow them to use various programs.
Help me provide cushions and headphones for my class of inner-city students. The cushions will allow my students to meet and read in book clubs. These cushions will provide flexible seating for my students. My students love to sit on the floor and read. Students who read together are able to help each other build comprehension strategies to assist each other in understanding the text. This will also allow them to build a sense of community and enable them to share their thoughts about the books.
Other students in my class need headphones to use assistive devices to build their reading skills and comprehension.
Students who use the headphones are able to tune the distraction and able to stay focused on the text. By helping my students become better readers you will help them build a better future for themselves and the community.
My students are intelligent, and interesting and love to read and learn about the works around them. By providing the headphones and cushions for my students you will make reading accessible and comfortable for them.
