Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are low income, special education students. They have worked very hard this year. I have students of all kinds. I have autistic children, intellectually disabled, speech and language impaired, and emotionally disturbed. They have all worked so hard this year to improve in their reading, writing, and math skills. They have all moved reading levels and have increased in their writing ability.
They love to sing along to songs, say their letter sounds, and count to 100!
They all have made such tremendous growth this year that I feel they deserve something special!
My Project
My class has the ability to be excellent readers. Their special needs inhibit them from staying focused when reading. My students need something to help them to read independently. They love to bring pillows to sit and read quietly. These chairs will help them remain focused in order to increase their reading stamina.
I am hoping to foster of love of reading with these chairs!
I want to give them the joy of reading and the ability to read on their own! Please help my class become the readers they want to become! Thank you so much for your donation!
