My students need puzzles, books on CD, tactile cards, and games to use during reading centers.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. S.'s classroom raised $251

My Students
"Can we go to the reading center?" "Can I go to the puzzles center?" My students' favorite time of the day is when they work and play in reading centers.
The 20 students in my classroom attend a school in Southwest Virginia.
They began first grade this year at varying levels, and I need many different materials so I may continue to challenge all of them. My students love hands-on materials and working together.
My Project
I'm requesting language arts materials that students can use in small groups or independently to review concepts that have already been introduced. The students will listen and read books on CD, practice reading and spelling with puzzles, and play reading games together.
This is my second year teaching and my first year teaching first grade.
Donations to my classroom will be used this year and hopefully for many, many years to come. Please help these students start their school lives off with a strong foundation of skills and knowledge, and a love for reading and writing.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
