This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classes are filled with extremely intelligent and motivated students who are eager to learn about US history.
The novel 'Fever 1793' by Laurie Halse Anderson is a riveting account of a very important yet under covered period in US History. Furthermore, it provides a phenomenal context for studying issues surrounding public health and individual responsibility. This novel also provides a wonderful connection with many scientific topics.
A class set of Fever 1793 would create a foundation for covering many important topics regarding post-Revolutionary War America.
