My name is Ms. Williams and I am a teacher at Brenda Scott Academy and my 2nd-grade students are in need of books. They would love to have a classroom library of books to enjoy reading. We are also in need of a printer that would be assessable to students. We would engage in projects such as writing funfilled books and printing them out for parents, students, and staff member to enjoy outside the classroom.
Many of us know that the more students read, they will become a better readers and the more they write, the more they will enjoy reading.
Many of our parent's and students are unable to buy their child books outside the classroom that would help strengthen their reading skills. Like many teachers such as myself, soliciting materials such as books are very much needed in low-income areas for students. This is the reason why we ask for project supporters. Any donations would highly be appreciated from DonorsChoose for the students in my classroom. Thank you in advance for your student/ teacher support.

My Project
These new books will be used for students to have a variety of reading materials that will permit them to learn how to read independently on their grade level. In addition to that, it will help many young readers develop a love for enjoining the pleasure of reading books early in life.
The books will make a huge difference in the lives of our students, whom many may not have transportation to visit a library.
They will be allowed to check books out of the classroom as library permits. It is important for students in early grades to understand that independent "Reading Can Be Fun"!
