Reading buddies will be an engaging way to get my students reading in our classroom. In our reading classroom, we work hard on learning the skills to read texts, but we also work on motivation and stamina. I want the students to practice, be engaged, and enjoy reading. Reading buddies can be a great motivator to my students
Reading should be fun, and what's more fun than reading to your favorite stuffed animal?
In my classroom students will be able to earn time to be able to read to their stuffed animal. in second grade students should be reading 20 minutes every night and practicing reading to a stuffed animal in class can help them in completing their 20 minutes of assigned reading time.
Reading buddies will be a valuable resource in our reading classroom this year and many years to come! Reading buddies, typically stuffed animals or toys, can add fun and companionship to the reading experience.
Children often enjoy reading aloud to their reading buddies, which can help improve their reading fluency and confidence. Additionally, reading buddies can be a tool for imaginative play and storytelling.
