My Project
I teach an amazing group of students in one of the most diverse schools in the country. They love coming to school, and they love learning! My students have been working hard on reading. I would like to have plush Squishmallows available in my classroom. They would be able to use the stuffies as reading buddies to practice reading and also story retelling. They will be so happy to have real props for their stories. My goal is to create lifelong readers in our classroom. Children who can read fluently will be more successful in school.
The stuffed animals that I have chosen will appeal to my class.
They can also use the stuffed animals in the calming area of our classroom. Sometimes, students need to take a moment to take a breath and calm down. The stuffed animals will definitely help put a smile on their faces. I am also requesting a book from one of our favorite authors and a plastic organizer for game pieces for holidays around the world, Lunar New Year, and Valentine's Day learning games.
