My Project
I call my students my "Ohana." The reason is, in our classroom, we work together and make sure no one gets left behind or forgotten.
We have been working towards growing in reading.
I have been finding ways to motivate them to read. We have decided that we will have reading buddies.
Each day, we will sit with a partner and read. These chairs will help motivate my Ohana to find a cozy, quiet space to sit and read.
The Backjacks will also be helpful during writing time. My Ohana will enjoy being able to find a unique corner to write in their journals or to complete a writing prompt.
