My Project
Within our 3rd Grade Integrated Co-Teaching Classroom, our 23 students including students with disabilities love reading books that they see themselves represented in, especially with characters from their books!
Giving my students a chance to see themselves represented in their books to increase literacy engagement and create an equitable learning environment where all students, regardless of race, to have equal opportunities to succeed and develop!
Reading buddies will be a valuable resource in our reading classroom this year and many years to come! Reading buddies, typically stuffed animals or toys, can add fun and companionship to the reading experience. Children often enjoy reading aloud to their reading buddies, which can help improve their reading fluency and confidence. Additionally, reading buddies can be a tool for imaginative play and storytelling!
