My class has chosen to be Virtual this year. We attend live classes during the day and practice homework after school hours. I will teach 27 students over a Google Classroom. We are preparing for a wonderful successful year of learning virtually.
We are all from different backgrounds and different brick and mortar school, but together we will make a solid blended group of learners.
I love how my students are learned to become wizards at fixing their own computer problems, navigating chrome tabs, sharing toys and ideas virtually, sharing their screens, and make friends online.
It is amazing how first grade students can thrive in a totally virtual class. We will be successful academically as well as emotionally. We are planning on a great year for these students.
My Project
Coronavirus is still very active in our community and my students and their families have chosen to stay Virtual this year. All of my student attend my Virtual Classroom. We are making the best of an unique situation. One of the items my students are missing is holding a book and enjoying reading a book sitting on a comfortable pillow.
Student will be thrilled to receive a book, on their reading level that they get to keep and start their own personal libraries at home.
It is so important to read a book and to turn the pages of a book for these early readers.
I hope you can help me put books in the hands of children to start the love of reading so they become life long readers.
