My Students
My students are amazing! They are students with disabilities ranging from autism to specific learning disabilities and communication disorders. They have struggled academically in school and are desperately in need of positive experiences. They have to work harder than their peers to achieve the same outcome. I know they are desperate to learn and are willing to put in the required effort. I ask for your assistance to help provide the materials needed to help them be successful in their education.
My Project
The purchase of these reading materials will allow at-risk students to receive an effective intervention. Students with disabilities are in need of research-based programs that provide explicit and systematic instruction. These materials will meet that need as students transition from lower to upper grade proficiency by creating, fluent, lifelong readers.
These materials will impact students throughout life.
Students with disabilities have often experienced frustration and failure with education. They are desperately in need of quality intervention in order to become successful and having literate adults benefits society as a whole. Thank you for your time and consideration of this project.
