This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to read but find many of the books in our classroom library out dated, so finding books they will love is important. Finding books incorporating science topics in comics is a home run since many children love to read comics and graphic novels. Some other book sets also teach about history, coding, and solving mysteries.
These reading books will allow my students to engage in high interest chapter books for independent reading time.
Students need many books on a variety of topics and many of these book sets will allow my students to read multiple books in a series. Students are required to read a minimum of 30 minutes per day, therefore we need many books in our classroom library.
