Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many if not all of my students come from low income households and are English language learners (with a huge population from Haiti), and many are learners with special needs. However, my students are motivated to learn and think outside of the box.
My students come to school every day ready to learn and leave their problems and worries at home.
In the past, many of these students have been below grade level in reading and writing. This year we have sat down with students individually to discuss their current reading level and assist them in creating goals to move up to where they need to be. These students are ready and able to push themselves to the next level.
