My Students

I'm a first year teacher so my students this year hold a very special place in my heart. Given everything they have been through in their short elementary years, they have shown compassion for one another and somehow understand the meaning of classroom community even though they have not experienced a "normal" school year since first grade. My students work hard to build each other up and become concerned when a peer is absent. They understand how to work hard but still keep things light and fun. They are a fantastic group of kids who are eager to learn and to show what they can do!

My Project

These resources will help continue the growth of our classroom community because a lot of these resources are meant to be used together in groups. Throughout the pandemic, students have been kept from interacting with their peers and these resources are meant to bring them together. They will help my students understand teamwork as well as how to teach and learn from their classmates.

My students look forward to seeing their friends each day and these resources will help them engage in fun, in-person learning activities.

They will be able to communicate about important learning objectives through the usage of these activities. My students will gain an understanding of many reading strategies with the help of these resources.
