My Students
I work in the library at our districts Early Childhood Learning Center with Pre-Kindergarten students. Each child that attends our school must qualify from either needing special services or they are economically disadvantage. There are 175 four and five year olds at our school. Each student visits the library twice a week for story time, stations, and a kindness lesson.
My Project
Every student at our school will have the chance to come to the library and choose from the books in this project. The best way to grow a strong reader is by reading to a child from as early as possible. The kids come to the library and choose their own library book, they take them to their classes and get to spend a week with their book. They are in the beginning reader stages right now, they can look at the pictures and tell the story. After awhile , they will be able to find words that they have learned, and then before you know it BAM!!!! We have READERS!!! Be apart of this amazing reading journey with our kids!
