it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are ready to READ!!! Reading and literacy is EVERYTHING.
Imagine being in second grade and not knowing all your letter sounds or blends. Imagine not being able to read let alone understand what you are reading?
My students are second graders ranging from ages 7-8.
I have an inclusion classroom with special education students as well as students that are in the process of being tested for learning disabilities. My students struggle tremendously in reading and need all the stimulation they can get.
My Project
My students need 8 round tables that allow them to collaborate, that are not splintered and broken, that fit correctly for high school, and that allow them to work comfortably. The resources I am requesting will be used in literacy centers that will engage in teaching them the strategies needed to become good readers. They will be able to use the tablets to play various reading and word recognition games. The students will use the boards to write words and sentences to encourage writing. The camera will be used for them to video each other in different role playing activities.
My students are very eager to learn.
I want them to have the opportunity to be able to learn while having fun. They love using the computer and working in cooperative groups. These resources will bring them closer to grade level expectations
