My Students
If you had a choice between vibrant and dull which would you choose? For primary students they would choose vibrant. Why? Because it stimulates the brain and is more engaging than black and white.
My students are from New York City and are made up of working class families. My class is a first grade inclusion class made up of general education and special education students with disabilities like autism, speech delays and learning disabilities.
My Project
By donating to my project you are helping me create artistic and vivid learning posters that will assist students in reading, writing and math. When teaching a lesson children brainstorm ideas about topics they can write about, reading strategies, and rules in math. These posters will be hung around the classroom and give students visual assistance when they are stuck and promote independence in their work.
By donating the markers, chart paper, clips, post its and paper you are assisting me promoting a stimulating environment that will encourage student learning and curiosity. Color impacts learning!
