This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
There is no question that young students like my first graders have had a significantly different introduction to school and learning. COVID-19 has impacted our students’ learning drastically, but I continue to be impressed and inspired by how hard they work and how much progress they continue to make. However, there is still more work to be done to make up for the learning loss many students unfortunately faced.
With your support, my first grade students will benefit tremendously from different hands-on reading materials by playing games, learning their letters, building their phonics skills, and so much more!
Being at school, in person, has given my students a safe, structured environment that gives them opportunities to be their best selves. I am excited to see the growth that my students continue to make!
