My students need white boards so I can assess their learning quickly. They enjoy these kinds of tests! They also need books so they can read in groups.

My Students
With today's budget cuts, making hundreds of copies is out of the question. Using dry erase boards is a quick, fun, and easy way to see what children still need help on and which students have mastered a concept. Reading also needs to be incorporated daily, but our classroom library...is empty.
This is a small district that has been around for many years.
The school is old and hasn't been remodeled to compete with other school districts in areas such as technology, or even student dry erase boards. The students are well-behaved, loving kids who are eager to learn. They still get excited to get involved.
My Project
Every time I say "get out the white boards," I don't hear students complain. I've used them with little children and teenagers. THEY LOVE THEM! This particular school, however, does not have the new classroom materials as other campuses. It is lacking in certain areas, such as manipulatives for students to use. My goal is to bring more exciting tools into the classroom that will keep them eager to learn. Dry erase boards and classroom libraries will do just the thing!
This is my first year in this new school, and I want to be an even better teacher than before.
This school does not have much, but they work hard with what they have. These small items will bring joy to our classroom!
