My Students
I have an amazing class of students. We spend 2nd grade together and are loving getting to grow together even more in 3rd grade. My students are artistic, creative, love to read, and love to learn and teach themselves new things.
We are a class of readers.
My class loves to spend time reading and learning everyday. They have a wide range of abilities and talents that makes coming to school everyday fun.
At our school, about 40% of our students receive free and reduced lunch. We have families who currently benefit from the Backpack Buddy program which provides students extra food for weekend meals at home.
My Project
We have so many books to love that have outgrown the space we have for them. We would love to reshelve many of of our favorite series and other paperback books. A rotating book rack will give us more room for books without taking up valuable room space. It also helps us keep books organized so we can find our next book to read. Moving helps many of us focus, wothout disrupting friends around us. We need to move around to support our best learning. Chairs with curved legs will support our need to move while we work on reading and learning.
