My Students
Our Pre-K classroom is in a community that is in a greater need of good quality learning for early childhood aged children. The need to engage students at an early age to reading and literacy promotes school readiness, which fights against the growing problems of students graduating without reading skills to succeed in life.
MY students are excited and eager to learn new skills which connects to their every day experiences.
They are growing and learning from the same community as I did several years ago. I believe with the necessary resources in our Pre-K classroom, they can learn and become great leaders in our community. My goals as a teacher is to give my students the tools they need to be great thinkers and leaders.
My Project
I am requesting a comfy couch and chair to give my students a comfortable and spacious area to read, explore books, and to discover the use of their imagination. Our Book Area Is not complete or engaging without a place to relax and enjoy a good story. This furniture will help draw the students' interest to the area, and create a community of readers.
This project will make a difference because it will set the stage for life time readers and learners.
My hope is to make my Book Area more appealing and give my students the chance to explore the greatness of reading.
