Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have put together some materials to supplement my classroom library and supplies. So far this school year, my students have not had sufficient in-class books to choose from at their reading level. I have also added items (treat bars, glue sticks) used for sensory rewards and coping strategies and as lesson manipulatives.
Options help motivate my students.
They could read in the calming cave or at any of the current flexible seating options. I want them to relish all the opportunities to learn as much as they can to be prepared for a competitive college or career track.
