Reading and Math Support for Special Education Students!
Help me give my students flexible seating, weighted pads and blankets, sensory tools, markers and the supplies they need to not only support their reading and math needs, but their social and emotional needs as well!
My name is Erica Ferradas and I am a self-contained special education teacher in Great Falls, Mt.
I am seeking support to provide supplies and essential sensory tools and materials that will enrich both the math and reading experiences of my students.
Sensory tools support my students in not only regulating their emotions but also making abstract ideas more concrete and accessible. The building tiles, alphabet center, and other tools are beneficial for my students with processing issues, attention difficulties, and other learning challenges.
All of the students in my classroom have learning and or social and emotional challenges and the floor pillows will give them a comfortable place to sit for story time or small group learning. These weighted lap pads and blankets and other sensory resources will support me in making sure their individual needs are met while pushing my students to excel academically. Your support will make a meaningful difference for all students in my classroom.
