My Project

My students need a wide range of materials in reading and math to manipulate in order to review and learn new ideas and concepts. The COVID-19 pandemic has deprived my students of valuable learning time, resulting in some deficits. The math-timed tests and reading assessments will enable me to monitor my student's progress in reading and math, identify gaps in their learning, and tailor my instruction to help them advance toward mastery based on their literacy and math goals. The hands-on phonics materials will allow students to use decoding activities to practice spelling, which, in turn, will increase their reading fluency.

With these resources, my students will be able to get quicker feedback and immediate reinforcement as they work on improving their reading and math skills.

In addition, the pencil sharpener will allow my students to sharpen pencils in our classroom instead of going to another class. These resources will allow me to differentiate instruction for each student and to help meet some of their current IEP goals. Please help me to support my students as I monitor their progress and proficiency in literacy and math.
