My Project

My students love to read along and listen to the non-fiction books in our classroom listening center. These books help my students to develop critical reading skills.

The listening center is an excellent area within our classroom that can help students to develop their fluency skills as they listen to proper phrasing and expression.

Audiobooks allow students to hear the tone and pace of a skillful reader. Students can also learn the correct pronunciation of words and expand their vocabulary.

Adding fictional stories along with our collection of non-fiction books will help provide more interest and engagement to a center that supports our second grade reading skills.
