This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My fourth graders go to a school that is near thriving neighborhoods. I teach a Dual Language group of students at a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free lunch. Most have perfect attendance and strive to be the best class in the school. My students deserve a positive setting because they are hard workers.
The student population is unique and diverse.
Many of my students face challenges due to economic disadvantages, but that does not keep them from being eager to learn.
My Project
Students will benefit from a more comfortable library for stations and just for a reading space. They will also get to paint when they finish their expository essays! My students love to show what they are thinking and in order to motivate them to write more, I want them to be able to have some time and materials to paint with after they have worked so hard.
They are a group of dual language students and they need a comfortable space to read to actually enjoy reading and processing what they are reading, I want the best for them.
