My Project

My second grade class is an inclusion class with many diverse needs. This project focuses on helping my students to gain stronger reading and writing skills thru phonemic and phonological practice, both on the computer and with me (their teacher). We can then apply what we have learned by exploring the arts - thru music, dance and creative hands with paper pieces. Students will use the speaker to listen to music to build create ways of expression (dance) write about how music make them feel while they dance. Writing about these feelings will help students practice their phonics skills that they will be working on with the items that DonorsChoose has provided. Students will use the headphones while they work independently online to practice their phonemic and phonological awareness. The TPT gift card will help me to supplement lessons and provide great resources that will support my unique learners.

These items will allow my students to be able to express themselves in multiple ways.
