Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a moderate/severe special education class located on a middle school c campus. This means that while our students are capable of reading and learning to read, the texts that are present in our library and on our campus for students at large are not accessible to our specific population. This project will not only bring texts at these students reading levels to our class but also texts that are specifically related to their interests. When students are interested in what they are reading motivation is increased and a life long love for reading will be fostered.
