I am looking forward to meeting my new students next school year during my new adventure at a new school! The students at our school thrive off teacher student relationships. Building relationships and social emotional are two building blocks that are most important at our school.
My Project
Learning to read can be challenging for some students. It's important for the teacher to help the students be organized and be comfortable while reading. First graders can be little busy bodies and it's movement is important for their brain and body.
This project will supply my class with wobble chairs so students can move around in their spot while reading.
For some students this will actually help them concentrate more! This will be a great addition to my two rocking gaming chairs I have for a reading spots.
This project will also supply students with two different organizers for their books. They will have a seat sack that can be put on their chair and a book tote that they can use when they move around the room to read. They can also use the tote to take back and forth from home to school so parents can see what their child is reading.
Lastly this project will supply my students with more books to enjoy that will help with sight words and decoding words!
