My Project
I teach 25 amazing 5th graders at a Title I elementary school filled with diversity. My students have a variety of backgrounds, cultures, languages, talents, and interests. As I strive to motivate and educate these kids, they rise to the challenge and try their best at what we do in school.
While each student is different, they all have one thing in common; they are capable of learning and achieving their wildest dreams.
Despite the many challenges each child faces, they are showing up each day. They brighten not only my day but the days of each other inside and outside the classroom.
As a school, we seek to build a strong community that will give students the skills they need to become successful once they venture into other facets of their lives.
Each one of my students deserves to have access to a variety of books. By helping me receive these books, we can help my students broaden their interests and find a new love for reading.
Most of my students don't have access to books at their home.
This donation will help expand my classroom library and students will be allowed to take the books and explore different worlds from the comfort of their own home.
Reading is an essential skill that each child needs. When kids are able to find and read books that interest them, they are able to build up that skill and become competent readers.
