This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager learners who enjoy exploring the world around them. They love to try new things and share learning experiences with their friends. They work hard and try their best every day!

My students represent a wide variety of cultures, abilities and personalities.

Despite their differences, they help one another to learn and form friendships that defy language barriers. I love watching my students make progress over the course of the school year, often from being quiet and hesitant to bold leaders. My students are awesome!

My Project

Scholastic magazines, along with the online content, provide students with a personal resource to practice reading fluency, identifying sight words and basic reading skills, as well as learning about science, math and social studies. Students can highlight focus words, complete the activity pages and follow along as the online content plays on our SMARTBoard.

A subscription to this magazine allows children to learn about a specific subject in a fun way and they can take the magazine home to share with their families.

This resource also has large posters that students can access in the classroom to emphasize the topic of each lesson.
