My Students

My students have a love of learning! They love adventure and taking trips around the world and beyond! The students are learning through inquiry and constantly asking questions while trying to expand their knowledge! My students are amazing individuals who are kind, respectful, and happy with the presented opportunities.

After being in front of the computer for too long, my students would love to get their hands on books!

My students are so happy to have the chance to read books of different genres! They love to read books that challenge the way they think, open their minds to new places and help them grow as individuals!

These students do not have access to books at home and cannot afford to buy their own. These students rely on the resources and materials provided by the school. Our school is dedicated to providing an environment rich in social, emotional, and academic experiences where all students aspire to become lifelong learners.

My Project

Many times when students hear the word math, they groan! Fifth-grade math is primarily all computation! Students are grinding out facts and trying to understand how we solve problems! They spend time adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, decimals, and fractions! They use these skills to solve problems and apply them to volume and expressions later in the year!

Wouldn't it be great for students to be able to see their math skills in the real world by making connections through literacy?

To help bridge the gap between math and language arts, I would love for my students to have books that teach and explore math skills!

With these books, students will be able to make connections and deepen their conceptual understanding and allow students to see the importance of what we are learning and how it impacts our daily lives.
